Premiere of the Radio Segment \u201cScience into Images\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last Sunday, December 6, we embarked on a new Science into Images<\/em> adventure\u2014a new kind of safari<\/em>, similar to the ones we usually take into the microscopic world, but this time, venturing into an almost entirely unknown territory for us: the world of radio waves.<\/p>\n

From now on, one Sunday each month, we will explore the possibilities of communicating science and sharing its wonders through the microphones of Maresmejant<\/em>, a program on Matar\u00f3 R\u00e0dio<\/em>, which you can tune into at 89.3 FM. If you can\u2019t listen live, you can always catch up one or two days later in the A la carta<\/em> section of the Matar\u00f3 Audiovisual<\/em> portal.<\/p>\n

We are delighted with the warm welcome from the program\u2019s veterans<\/em>, who have provided us with all the support we need to develop this segment and given us complete freedom in selecting and discussing our topics.<\/p>\n

For the premiere, we chose a rather complex and little-known subject: organoids<\/strong>. We hope that our explanations\u2014brief and partial as they may be (since time on the radio is inevitably limited)\u2014have sparked curiosity among listeners about these remarkable developments in biological research with direct applications in medicine.<\/p>\n

In addition to this main topic, our first broadcast also covered other science-related activities in the form of a news-style commentary, aiming to keep listeners informed about scientific events and outreach initiatives.<\/p>\n
